Our fruitilicious lip balms are the first to incorporate over 70% fruit-based ingredients. This makes our lip balms truly fruity, natural, and sustainable.
What inspired FRUU?
It started in Terence's teaching days when his students were super interested in the science of their cosmetics products. There was a big push in the education of sustainability. However, most if not all of the products they own are made from petrochemicals, which has a less than ideal sustainability profile. After a bit of digging, we realised that there are little if any so-called sustainable cosmetics products at all, with the majority of them made from either petrochemicals or natural materials that are water, land or carbon-intensive. FRUU was born out of the idea that we can create the most sustainable products by utilising the waste product or secondary products of our current production chains i.e. the agricultural or juicing industry.
Where do you source the ingredients from?
They are sourced from a number of independent farmers and producers in Europe, Africa, and the Far East, where 1) a lot of their produce/fruits are too ripe for transportation or suffer minor cosmetic damages. 2) They have a lot of byproducts i.e. seeds generated from their processing facilities, without much commercial value, which can be pressed into oils for cosmetics use.

We source the freshest possible ingredients without compromise. All products are made in small batches in our UK workshop to make sure they are as fresh as possible.
REAL-Fruity
Our products are largely made of ingredients extracted and derived from more than 15 different types of nutrient bursting fruits. 100% bio-degradable. Most of the ingredients are produced as a by-product of processed fruit waste, which generates vital extra revenue for small fruit farmers.

We have a view of "If you can't afford to buy it, it is not sustainable!". We strive to use the most responsibly-sourced ingredients possible and offer guilt-free sustainable living at a most affordable cost possible.

We love animals! We do not test our products on animals and do not use any animal products. Vegan-friendly and PETA certified. We donate a portion of our profits to World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to help preserve natural diversity.
