Bellboo was created by Caroline Evans in October 2021 when she drew her daughter's favourite animal, a polar bear, for her birthday. Following the lovely feedback Caroline received from family and friends, she decided to create more drawings and did her first craft fair in December 2021 where she sold four drawings and took several comissions. Since then, Bellboo has developed into the busy business it is today.
When asking Caroline if she had a favourite animal to draw, she replied "I don't have a favourite animal to draw; however I do love drawing people's pets. I like to study their photographs to capture as much detail and character as possible"
In her spare time Caroline like to spend quality time with her family and enjoys being outdoors. She is a self-confessed "foodie" and loves to cook, bake and dine out! Caroline also loves days out to Norfolk and tells us how being on the beach is her happy place. However, she continues "As much as I love the trips outand dining, drawing is my down time and I love creating and designing new designs".
Studio Pips asked Caroline what her advice to anyone starting their own small business would be. Caroline advises "My advice to anyone starting their own business would be one thing - believe in yourself! This sounds much easier than it it is and I often have moments of imposter syndrome! However, whenever I make a saleor get asked to do a comission piece, I always get a huge buzz and the confirmation that I must be doing something right!"
